Slot Machine Myth #2 - if a machine feels cold to touch, you should put cold coins in it and if it feels warm then warm coins should be used
Before we go any further, I woudl like to say that yes, slot machines do have sensors inside them. I would also like to say that these sensors only ever measure the size and shape of the coins that are used. No machine anywhere has temparature sensors built into them. evne if they did, by the time the coins got to the sensors, they'd have warmed up or cooled down anyway, so there would be absolutely no difference at all.
Different machine models from different suppliers heat up at different rates and in different places. These heat differences make people think that there must be some fundamenal differnce withthe machine that's making it pay out more or less. Unfortunately, the computers that control the machines don't worry what temparature things are, they just work out the nmbers.
